Transmogrification and Void Storage

| Wednesday, August 17, 2011
Short version: Allows you to make armor you have look like other armor you have and gives storage space for old armor.

It makes me laugh that a content patch does not evoke the slightest bit of interest. But this, something so utterly useless, does. I'm almost, ever so slightly tempted, to give WoW another try when this goes live. Collecting pretty dresses was one of my favorite activities. Er. I mean, collecting awesome and impressive suits of powerful armor that did not include and dresses or dress-like elements such as kilts. Never.

Every now and then I'd think "maybe I should play WoW again", but then I'd realize that my nostalgia was for places like BRD and BC heroics, not WoW as I left it. And then I'd get sad.

No kilts. Of course. I'd take a skirt over some kilt any day.

That was exactly my reaction. This announcement caught my interest and it sounds amazing, at least a tiny little bit.

The last announcement that cought my interest was when they announced that they will probably maybe sometimes create a 64 bit client... soon after that I realized how much I must be done with a game if I'm only interested in technical improvements. :)

And, because this was your only post in the last 4 month not comparing or relating something to Civ V, I'm going to do that for you: I really really hope they will finally deliver the "promised" 64 bit client for Civ V. Huge worlds are unplayable...

I would need more information before I could pass judgment...it sounds like they will require that you already have (or maybe had?) the item you want your armor to look like for it to work. Though this means you're going to see a lot of people farming old content to get their favorite set....I think you'll see a LOT of Judgment.

I also think it's funny how they have the "Class restrictions" on certain sets when from WotLK onward they used a lot of "lookalikes" as dungeon rewards so most classes can get around them. For example if desired a tanking warrior/paladin can collect enough "off set" gear in T11 to look like a DK...or a DPS DK/Paladin can look like a warrior.

And then they went and ruined it for me:
"You will not be able to transmogrify using a legendary item as either the source or the recipient of a change."

I gotta echo the sentiment expressed by Verilazic and Kelps yourself.

Please ActiBlizz give me a vanilla/TBC capped server and you can have my credit card number again!

For 5 years I carried my T2 sets, in the hopes that they will introduce some feature where I can simply upgrade the gear to the top level.

The purple T2 Paladin armor in TBC gave me hope. The reforging process took away that hope for good.

I deleted that gear two months back, and shortly afterwards unsubbed.

Sonofabitch!
