This isn't racist. It's just that sometimes there is drama when black people are around. I'm not saying the black people cause it, but most players are white and if a minority causes drama, it's pretty clear what to do. They can start their own guilds. I'm not saying it's the fault of black people, I just think it's better to have a place where white people can play without worrying about racial tensions.
So if you're white, and have vent to prove it, and don't want drama from racial mixing, come join
on the Thrall server.
Again, not racist, just trying to avoid drama from black people. I have lots of black friends, I just don't do anything with them because they cause drama, which isn't their fault, or the fault of anyone else.

How does Vent prove your skin colour?
I'm honestly not sure everyone will spot the label you put on this, "sexism" and understand what you're trying to say with thsi post. Irony is a tricky thing.
Interesting, if it were not for Larisa mentioning the label I was going to say something about a friend of mine but it does not fit so much now.
Either way. If you listened to this guy talk he sounds like Jeff Foxworthy, you know the "you might be a redneck" comedian. He sounds so redneck even rednecks would call him a redneck. He is Japanese. I find it quite amusing and joke with him about it all the time.
Vent can not prove what someone is unless you are trying to figure out if they are female. ;)
While I may or may not agree with Lar¨´isa, on what she said, I doubt that the flamers will come from people not reading the "tag", but rather from people just reading the headline.
Personally, I found this to be your post of the year... Not saying there should be any resting on laurels though.
I totally got the joke (without seeing the label) :) I bet you're MARRIED to a drama-monger too! Which is totally ok. Unless your spouse wants to game...
I blogged about this a while back which ended up in a huge forum type drama in the comments:
http://keredria.blogspot.com/2009/11/good-wtf-and-bad-wtf.html
The GM of the guild found the post and put it on his forums as a link. Two winning comments from NCA members:
"In an anonymous world, male and female do not mix. And that's what it comes down to. Sure, in my experience I've come across many inadequate female players, though I'm not nearly sexist enough to base a recruitment policy strictly on that. But, anytime I've raided in a coed environment, it turns into one of two things: an attention whoring female begging for people to look her way or half the raid making sexual innuendo anytime a female speaks. Neither of these is a something I desire in a raid environment both for progression reasons and personal enjoyment."
"Simply because this is how we choose to play a non-essential entertainment-based hobby doesn't necessarily mean we support such bigotry in day-to-day life"
People actually do that? They'd rather associate with folks who make derogatory jokes than have a diverse guild? Sheesh.
And how do they convince themselves that such a policy isn't discrimination?
Isnt it sad that racial pride and commonality can only be used as a joke. If you are proud of being black thats healthy and encouarged but if you want express pride in being white you are a hate filled redneck
I laughed, then I thought about my long standing guild. Of the many different people from all over the world, the biggest drama queens have been the middle aged white boys.
*hoping three year old didn't cause a double post*
Just FYI on the tag thing, it doesn't show up through a reader.
For a much longer, extended version of this blog post, see:

@Dwism: I have laurels?
@Zelmaru: I'm single. Or I could be gay. That would fix it too.
@Keredria: The second comment disturbs me. If we're willing to discriminate for what are, in the grand scheme of things, minimal gains, what if we think it is in a business interest to do so?
@Anonymous: I seem to recall St. Patrick's Day being only a few days ago.
@wishfullthought: Your three your old was smapping the post comment button?
@koalabear: Oh that's trouble, this isn't the first time my tags have added to the post.
@Anonymous: That was an interesting read... Thanks for the link.
I wish I knew who you were having a go at with this...oh well.
and I love the "it's not you, you're of course an exception"-type of excuses racist people use when trying to justify racist rants or trying to appear so not racist. eugh.
oh and, judging from the title i actually thought this topic was gonna be about laundry..
lol
@Syl: It's a often-missing (I'm using that at least two different ways) jab at the "no girls" guilds.
For the record, I do not segregate my clothes either. If they can't survive mixing, they're not good enough.
@klep: Like all roman emperors, you should have plenty!
Romans liked to segregate things too, I found the comparison fitting.
Sweet Sparkle Jesus Shit Kleps, didn't you see what happened to me when I tried to be ironic this weekend?! *dives for cover*
@DWism: Do I have to have a servant follow me and tell me I'm going to die?
@Reala: I missed that one, but based on comments, it's obvious that Rift is way more controversial and dangerous than racism.
Well, it is your perogative to do this. But to be honest, umm as a cyber anonymous, you can't prove if your white or black and skin color honestly doesn't account for attitude. Sorry, but umm trollin on your part not as impressive as what you've normally written.
Heh. I just to visit this post directly, instead of being content with what was in the Reader.
Subtle, Mr K., very subtle, yet with the effectiveness of a brick to the back of the head.
@Mhorgrim: I may be the limits of text, but this appears to be a whoosh scenario.
@Pathak: Brick through the window, with the window open first.
