Underwater isntances are lame

I want an instance under lava.

As I was running out of Blackrock Mountain I had a revelation: It would be awesome to have an instance portal that could only be reached by swimming under some lava.

Out of curiosity I also did some fishing. Yes, of course in the lava. I got an essence of fire, some coal, and a few old skulls.

Um... actually, way back in Vanilla the instance portal to get into Molten Core was in the lava there at the bottom and you had to jump out of the window next to the weird elf just right or you did in fact die...

I remember jumping out the window, but I thought it was just some bug if it didn't work, that the window itself was the portal and that landing in the lava was caused by lag or failing to load properly. Of course there was the run through BRD.

Seems to me that a Shaman who can walk on water and wield lava on their weapon ought to have a trick or two for lava diving...

It is not normal, natural lava. It is chaotic, tainted and twisted by the evil presence of Ragnaros and his violent arrival. One might as well attempt to commune with the fel fire from a Legion cannon.

@ Klep

I have had highly educated chats with the Fel Fire out of the Legion Cannons. They tell me things...

You can catch fish in the lava in Ironforge. Pre-cooked, I'm guessing.

I levelled fishing from 225-300 standing in the little cubby hole under the lava wheel in IF, with an Alliance alt on my second account looking out for hunters and feral druids.
